Trade Missions

Saudi Arabia & United Arab Emirates

The Global Business team at the Alabama Department of Commerce, along with Export Alabama, is organizing an international business development mission to Saudi Arabia & United Arab Emirates, April 17-25, 2026.

This business development and market exploration mission is designed to support Alabama firms seeking to expand their global footprint in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, two rapidly growing and strategically important Middle Eastern markets. The mission will convene a delegation of Alabama companies from targeted sectors, including biotechnology, life sciences, aerospace and defense, advanced manufacturing, and energy—industries that align closely with the region’s economic diversification priorities and long-term development strategies.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE represent high-potential markets for U.S. companies due to their sustained investments in innovation, infrastructure, and advanced technologies. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 agenda is driving significant demand across life sciences, manufacturing, energy transition, and aerospace, creating opportunities for U.S. firms with specialized capabilities and scalable solutions. The UAE serves as a regional commercial and logistics hub, offering access not only to domestic procurement opportunities but also to broader Middle Eastern, African, and South Asian markets. Together, these markets provide Alabama companies with strong entry points into dynamic regional supply chains and long-term partnership opportunities.

Through customized business development meetings, targeted networking sessions, and in-depth market briefings, this mission will equip Alabama businesses with the insights and connections needed to successfully enter and grow in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Participating firms will have the opportunity to assess market readiness; gain a deeper understanding of local demand and regulatory environments; meet with potential distributors, partners, government stakeholders, and industry leaders; and gather market intelligence to refine their regional growth strategies.

The purpose of this mission is to advance U.S. economic and strategic interests by developing export prospects for Alabama companies and fostering durable commercial relationships in critical and emerging technology sectors across Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
