The Global Business team at the Alabama Department of Commerce, along with Export Alabama, is organizing a delegation to the SEUS-Japan Conference in Tokyo, Japan, October 26-29, 2025.
In it’s 47th year, the annual joint meeting between the Southeast U.S./Japan Association (SEUS/Japan) and its Japanese counterpart, the Japan/U.S. Southeast Association (Japan/USSE), will encourage foreign direct investment (FDI) from Japanese companies and aims to strengthen export ties for Alabama and other Southeastern companies selling goods and services in Japan.
This conference provides Alabama economic developers and business leaders an opportunity to reconnect and build relationships with top government and business leaders from Japan and other southeast United States member states. SEUS-Japan provides networking opportunities and sessions on current international trade and investment, and economic outlooks in Japan and the Southeast U.S.

Fees and Expenses
The conference registration fee is $550 for Japan America Society of Alabama members and $575 for non-members.
If a visa is required to travel on a particular event, applying for and obtaining such a visa will be the responsibility of the mission participant. Instructions on the procedures required to obtain business visas will be shared with each participant.
Delegates participate in trade missions and undertake mission-related travel at their own risk. The nature of the security situation in each foreign market at a given time cannot be guaranteed.
